The First Week's Lessons
These would be the first four (4) lessons I would teach my first week of Class. I want the students to have a super powerful experience about seminary the first week. I want them to feel the importance of what Seminary can do in helping them to become more like the Savior.
I would split the class between these two topics. 20 minutes each.
I would teach these over the first three week of class. There is nothing more important that we can do than to help our students gain a testimony of how to acquire spiritual knowledge. They will not always be in our classes, but they can know where to find truth always.
Use Romans 8 in place of Luke 2 under the title "How to use Footnotes effectively
Explain the reading requirements for seminary credit and have students set their person reading goals for the semester.
I would use this lesson to set up class rules (Attendance, Tardies, Safe place, phones, etc..)
